Fans attending Harry Potter themed festival this year are in for a magical ride

J.K.Rowling’s spellbinding books and spectacular Harry Potter movies left an entire generation of teens waiting for that one magical letter of acceptance from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Alas! Some things are too good to be true.

Such was the impact of the books and the movies that Harry Potter themed parks, studio tours, festivals etc. have been established across major cities in the world. Last year, a Harry Potter Festival was organized near Toronto and owing to its huge success, the fest is coming back in September this year. Well, that’s not all! Harry Potter fanatics attending the fest at the Waterloo Central Railway are going to be in for a magical ride.

Magical Wizard Festivals’ ‘Escape from Spellbound Prison Train’ is an interactive experience of the journey on Hogwarts Express to Azkaban prison. Touted to be the star attraction of the fest, this interactive Hogwarts Express experience will be powered by hundred-year-old steam trains.

Here’s a brief description of the event from the organizers:

Become a secret agent on a Hogwarts interactive train experience to Azkaban prison and help save the day! WELCOME ABOARD!! Your dark forces briefing and training begins as you board the train with your professors and off you go on this excursion. Following your successful mission, all secret agents will be dropped off at our festival for fun, food, and fantasy!

Magical Wizard Festival is taking place at Waterloo on September 8th and 9th. Seven magical steam trains will be leaving from the Waterloo Central Station between 9 am to 5 pm on both the days of the festival. The ticket prices may range between $45-$55.

If you are a Harry Potter fan(who isn’t?) and you are dying to hop on to the Hogwarts Express, then book your tickets right away and start brushing up on spells. Accio tickets!
