Every year, the flower market attracts tons of flora enthusiasts in the city
After withstanding bad weather last week, most Torontonians will be looking forward to a pleasant spring and a beautiful summer. We have some great news for the good folks of the city as the Toronto Flower Market is all set to add color and fragrance to the summer.
On May 12, 2018, the Toronto Flower Market will be open for one and all to be mesmerized by the city’s floral diversity. The market will run monthly from May to October.
This is the sixth year for the flower market after it was first launched in May 2013 by Natasa Kajganic. Inspired by the flower market in London’s Columbia road, she decided to open Toronto’s first open-air flower market.
The market not only brings the growers and florists of Ontario together as a community but also educates people about the different varieties of flowers that are naturally grown in the state. Sweet pea, peony, lisianthus, allium, roses, gerbera and wild north flowers are quite popular in the flower market.
Come May and step out of your houses to smell the sweet fragrance of flowers. Let’s appreciate together the rich and vibrant flora of Ontario.
